Life Working On A Cruise Ship
Adventour Begins is my personal blog where I share insider information on working on cruise ships and ship life based on my own experience.
Life working on a cruise ship. Life on a Mediterranean cruise. Long hours no days off for months lots of rules demanding guests small living quarters and little to no privacy. Every year millions of travellers.
There are always advantages and disadvantages to every job and working on cruise ships is no different. For me living and working with people from around the world was the most impactful part of the experience. Engaging and interacting with the guests definitely keeps the job exciting.
Working as a doctor nurse or paramedic aboard a cruise ship is certainly a fascinating life. When you work on ships time goes so fast. But that doesnt mean that its the typical room and board experience.
I actually enjoy exchanging life stories with one another. White sandy beaches shady palm trees and breathtakingly clear blue seas. You completely lose track of days and a 6 month contract flies by.
Depending on the cruise line and the position you are hired for an active contract can go from 6 to 12 months. Life as a cruise ship musician begins with travel. Yet many people spend years working on cruise ships for the unique benefits the lifestyle provides.
After a few cruises as a passenger a window finally opened and I was able to experience the crew life on board. Its true the living conditions for employees on a cruise ship especially smaller ships can be cramped. If you enjoy working in a close-knit team and love meeting new people then cruise ship work might be the perfect career for you.
